In Prideful Memory of Mark Anthony Miller

When Mark Miller passed away in December, 2025, people from all parts of his life shared favorite memories of him.  Three main themes quickly became apparent:  commitment, connection, and fabulousness.

As a long-time member, Production Chair, and Board President of the Syracuse Gay & Lesbian Chorus, Mark was largely responsible for keeping the chorus going through the pandemic and bringing it out the other side, even larger and more vibrant.  He dedicated countless hours to making SGLC sound and look their best for every performance, from stage decorations to lighting and sound equipment to costumes. 

The Syracuse queer community is better for having had Mark with us, and we honor him with our laughter, even if it’s through tears.
