Decades of Commitment to Activism

For over 15 years, Bonnie Strunk has spearheaded the LGBTQ Pride booth at the Great New York State Fair transforming it into a vital hub for educational resources and community networking. 

Strunk's work has been instrumental in institutionalizing Pride Day at the Fair, where she has collaborated with other organizations like CNY Pride and Sage Upstate to host events such as candlelight vigils and official flag-raising ceremonies.  She provides educational material not with just the LGBTQIA+ community in mind but for allies and those who lack the resources to understand the community. Her activism extends back decades, and her impact on the CNY LGBTQ community will be felt for decades to come
