PARKING & transportation

All parking options at CNY Pride 2023 are FREE! Special thanks to our donors and sponsors who have helped us keep this event accessible to everyone.

PARKING OPTION #1  - This is where the most parking is!

Destiny USA - The parking lots on Solar Street will be the closest at 3/4 mile to the festival grounds. Two FREE Trolleys will run between 10am-6pm and are fully handicap accessible, with both kneeling and fold out ramp capabilities.

Trolley stops include:

  • Destiny USA CENTRO bus stop, located at 9090 Destiny USA Dr.

  • Destiny USA Parade Line Up parking lot on Solar St (lot closest to Bear St. and Onondaga Creek)

  • Inner Harbor Festival Grounds, Intersection of Van Rensselear St. and W. Kirkpatrick St.

PARKING OPTION #2

ACCESSIBLE parking spots are available in the Syracuse Department of Parks parking lot on 412 Spencer St. We recommend arriving early, as these spaces are limited.

GETTING DROPPED OFF?

People who would like to be dropped near the Inner Harbor Festival Grounds are encouraged to do so either at ALOFT Hotel (310 W Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13240) or in the Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs parking lot at 412 Spencer St.

VENDOR & TALENT PARKING

The gravel lot next to the ALOFT Hotel is reserved for VENDORS & TALENT.

CNY Pride Festival Grounds are located on West Kirpatrick St. near Van Rensselaer St. in Syracuse, NY.

The Parade route is along Solar St. between Destiny USA and West Kirkpatrick St., and then down W. Kirkpatrick St. towards Van Rensselaer St. Visit our Parade page for more info.

The CENTRO DESTINY USA bus stop is the closest public bus stop to the Inner Harbor.

ACCESSIBILITY & WELLNESS

Handicap Accessible and conventional PortaPotties are located on festival grounds in the food court (located close to accessible parking) and in the parade line up parking lot on Solar St. There are no public bathrooms except these PortaPotties and wash stations.

ASL interpreters will be present on the CNY Pride Main Stage at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater from 12-5pm.

The Inner Harbor is a Syracuse City Park and meets all of the accessibility requirements of a city park. The Inner Harbor park area has many paved paths, although there are some hilly, grassy areas that may be difficult to navigate for individuals who require flat, paved terrain. The food court, bathrooms, amphitheatre, and vendors are located in flat, paved areas. The amphiteatre seating is a series of tiered steps, but the area is accessible via flat paths and a ramp.

We encourage folks to bring camp chairs, blankets, plenty of water, sun protections (like sunscreen and parasols!), etc. Please DO NOT bring tents.

Due to several stages with loud music over a large area, as well as an anticipated large turnout of several thousand people, it is very challenging for us to guarantee a quiet space for folks requiring a quiet, low to no stimulation area. We recommend folks looking for quieter, less stimulating areas check out the freight house and grassy piers and areas located across the harbor from the festival grounds. When looking at map to plan, please use the address "340 Solar Street" and locate the grassy piers and side lot near the Freight House. Theses areas are accessible to pedestrians via the walkways along the Inner Harbor closest to the water, OR the sidewalks on West Kirkpatrick and Solar Street.

Please DO NOT smoke in crowded areas or in close proximity to children or non-consenting adults. Thank you.

All pets or service animals much be LEASHED, well behaved, and respond consistently to voice commands at all times. Any other animals will be asked to leave by security. We do ask that you consider the weather before bringing your pets. Last year was very hot and some pets got overheated. Please consider leaving your fur-baby at home where they may be more comfortable.

Please DO respect other people's personal space and ask for consent before touching them or getting close to them. Everyone's personal space needs are different, please err on the side of giving people more space.

Please remember to wear sun protection and stay hydrated! Wait times for food and beverage may be long. Please be prepared and avoid dehydration and hanger. Outside food and water is allowed, especially for medical reasons, but please do visit our vendors to try their amazing food!

Beer, wine slushies, hard selzer, and 1911 Pride cider will be for sale. You must be 21 years old with valid, state issued ID to consume and purchase alcoholic beverages. Under aged drinking, or drinking without the designated wrist band, is not allowed. If you are over the age of 21, please visit our Alcohol ticket sales and ID checking booth to get your ID checked and wrist band. Violating this policy may result in security asking you to leave.

Bottled water will be for sale from CNY Pride and other vendors. Free water will be accessible via a tapped fire hydrant for those that would like to bring their own water bottles.

An EMT and ambulance will be on site for medical emergencies and first aid.

Wash stations in food court area will be stocked with soap, water, and hand sanitizer.

Please DO NOT jump into the water. Neither CNY Pride nor our security team perform water rescues. Additionally, Onondaga Lake is considered a Super Fund site,  which means it is very polluted and toxic to your health.

Please DO NOT attend if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. For a detailed description of COVID-19 symptoms, please visit this link. We ask that you please test before attending the event, and only attend if you are not sick, in order to protect the more vulnerable members of our community. Thanks for keeping the community safe!
