PARKING & transportation

FREE parking is available in the Destiny USA parking lots on Solar Street (and any other Destiny USA lots). These lots are about .75 miles from the Festival Grounds. Additional street parking is located around the Inner Harbor area.

The CENTRO DESTINY USA bus stop is the closest public bus stop to the Inner Harbor.

Syracuse University will run two FREE trolleys on a loop on behalf of CNY Pride between 10am-6pm. All trolleys are fully handicap accessible, with both kneeling and fold out ramp capabilities. Trolley stops include:

  • Destiny USA CENTRO bus stop, located at 9090 Destiny USA Dr.

  • Destiny USA Parade Line Up parking lot on Solar St (lot closest to Bear St. and Onondaga Creek)

  • Inner Harbor Festival Grounds, Intersection of Van Rensselear St. and W. Kirkpatrick St.

To view a MAP of the FREE parking and the TROLLEY STOPS, please visit our MAP PAGE

Please note: Trolley service MAY be interrupted during the parade due to road closures.

FREE HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE parking (with placard or license plate) is available in the Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs parking lot on 412 Spencer St. We recommend arriving early, as these spaces are limited.

People who would like to be dropped near the Inner Harbor Festival Grounds are encouraged to do so either at ALOFT Hotel (310 W Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13240) or in the Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs parking lot at 412 Spencer St.

A VENDOR and TALENT ONLY lot will is located in the gravel lot next to the ALOFT Hotel. Parking attendants will have lists of names to be admitted ONLY.  Please do not be rude to the parking attendants. We are all doing our best to manage a large and quickly changing situation. (Please note: this was previously a PAID lot which was available to the public. This is no longer a parking option to the public, and we apologize to anyone who was expecting to park here. The public is welcome to FREE PARKING in the Destiny USA lots on Solar St., which is located less than .75 miles from the festival grounds. FREE Syracuse University trolleys will be operating from the Parade Line Up lot, the CENTRO Destiny USA Bus Stop, and the Festival Grounds from 10am-6pm.)

Please note: Putting "INNER HARBOR" into your GPS will take you to the general vicinity of the Inner Harbor, but not the exact location. We recommend looking at a map to determine where you will be parking, and then using that information to navigate.

CNY Pride Festival Grounds are located on West Kirpatrick St. near Van Rensselaer St. in Syracuse, NY.

The Parade route is along Solar St. between Destiny USA and West Kirkpatrick St., and then down W. Kirkpatrick St. towards Van Rensselaer St. Visit our Parade page for more info.

ACCESSIBILITY & WELLNESS

We acknowledge that "accessibility," "safety," and "wellness" are relative to each individual, and that no public event can satisfy every person's needs. That being said, we are doing our best with the resources and knowledge we have, and are doing our best to share transparently with you. Please read below for our approach to accessibility & wellness.

FREE Handicap accessible parking is available in the Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs parking lot on 412 Spencer St. St. We recommend arriving early, as these spaces are limited.

To see a map of the trolley stops, please visit our MAPS page. Please note: Trolley service MAY be interrupted during the parade due to road closures.

Handicap Accessible and conventional PortaPotties are located on festival grounds in the food court (located close to accessible parking) and in the parade line up parking lot on Solar St. There are no public bathrooms except these PortaPotties and wash stations.

The parade route is approximately .75 miles down Solar Street and West Kirkpatrick St. Please see the PARADE or MAPS  page for a map.

ASL interpreters will be present on the CNY Pride Main Stage at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater from 12-5pm, as well as at the Pride Flag Raising at Syracuse City Hall at 11am on June 11, 2022.

The Inner Harbor is a Syracuse City Park and meets all of the accessibility requirements of a city park. The Inner Harbor park area has many paved paths, although there are some hilly, grassy areas that may be difficult to navigate for individuals who require flat, paved terrain. The food court, bathrooms, amphitheatre, and vendors are located in flat, paved areas. The amphiteatre seating is a series of tiered steps, but the area is accessible via flat paths and a ramp.

A shade tent will be provided in the large grassy area overlooking the amphitheater. Six large fans will be located throughout the festival grounds. We recommend individuals bring a personal fan if possible. We also encourage folks to bring camp chairs, blankets, plenty of water, sun protections, etc. Please DO NOT bring any other tents.

Due to several stages with loud music over a large area, as well as an anticipated large turnout of several thousand people, it is very challenging for us to guarantee a quiet space for folks requiring a quiet, low to no stimulation area. We recommend folks looking for quieter, less stimulating areas check out the freight house and grassy piers and areas located across the harbor from the festival grounds. When looking at map to plan, please use the address "340 Solar Street" and locate the grassy piers and side lot near the Freight House. Theses areas are accessible to pedestrians via the walkways along the Inner Harbor closest to the water, OR the sidewalks on West Kirkpatrick and Solar Street. These areas should be quieter and less stimulating than the center of the festival, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee total quiet. Geese and birds do frequent these areas, so you may want to bring a blanket or folding chair if you would like to sit. If you anticipate needing total quiet or air conditioning, we recommend booking a room at the ALOFT hotel, conveniently located very near to the Festival Grounds. A Pride group-rate discount is available. Please contact the hotel for more information about rooms and discounts, CNY Pride cannot facilitate this for you.

Please DO NOT smoke in crowded areas or in close proximity to children or non-consenting adults. Thank you.

All pets or service animals much be LEASHED, well behaved, and respond consistently to voice commands at all times. Any other animals will be asked to leave by security.

Please DO respect other people's personal space and ask for consent before touching them or getting close to them. Everyone's personal space needs are different, please err on the side of giving people more space.

Please remember to wear sun protection and stay hydrated!

Wait times for food and beverage may be long. Please be prepared and avoid dehydration and hanger. Outside food and water is allowed, especially for medical reasons, but please do visit our vendors to try their amazing food!

Beer, wine slushies, hard selzer, and 1911 Pride cider will be for sale. You must be 21 years old with valid, state issued ID to consume and purchase alcoholic beverages. Under aged drinking, or drinking without the designated wrist band, is not allowed. If you are over the age of 21, please visit our Alcohol ticket sales and ID checking booth to get your ID checked and wrist band. Violating this policy may result in security asking you to leave.

Bottled water will be for sale from CNY Pride and other vendors. Free water will be accessible via a tapped fire hydrant for those that would like to bring their own water bottles.

CNY PRIDE and Onondaga county will provide FREE high quality masks and rapid tests to anyone who requests them, while supplies last. This tent will be located on West Kirkpatrick Street near the the festival grounds.

An EMT and ambulance will be on site for medical emergencies and first aid.

Wash stations in food court area will be stocked with soap, water, and hand sanitizer.

Please DO NOT jump into the water. Neither CNY Pride nor our security team perform water rescues. Additionally, Onondaga Lake is considered a Super Fund site,  which means it is very polluted and toxic to your health.

Please be kind and patient with our CNY Pride staff and volunteers. This festival is produced by a skeleton crew of volunteers who do this because they believe in making an amazing experience for our community after some very challenging years. We do this volunteer work on top of day jobs, family responsibilities, medical issues and disabilities, mental health, and material realities of living in the USA in 2022. This festival is A LOT of unpaid work, and we thank you for your patience.

If you have any question around accessibility and CNY Pride, please email info@cnypride.org with "ACCESSIBILITY" in the subject heading. Thank you!
